History
After its first release in 2015, the Apple Watch swiftly rose to the top spot among wearables, with Q2 2015 sales of 4.2 million units. Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 6 in 2020. Along with additional health sensors, this Watch had a new S6 processor that was up to 20% quicker than its predecessor, a brighter Always-On display, a blood oxygen app, and an always-on altimeter.
The Apple Watch Series 7 was launched in 2021 and features a bigger, more robust display with 41mm and 45mm variants. The Watch is more resistant to cracking than earlier generations, and it charges more quickly.
It retains the titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum finishes and uses the same CPU as the Series 6 model.
Apple Watch Series 7 Features
The Apple Watch Series 7 is the pinnacle of Apple’s wearable revolution, not some gimmicky new function or sensor. It serves as the utmost example of what may fit in a practical wrist computer.

Display
For 20% more screen space than the previous model, Apple stretched the display to the edge of the Apple Watch frame. The display size will rise by 50% for anyone upgrading from the Apple Watch Series 3 but the casing size will only go up by 3mm.
When the always-on display is dimmed, the display is also 70% brighter. This implies that even in a bright setting, information is easier to see quickly.
Numerous Apple-provided apps have also been updated for the bigger screen. For instance, Calculator now has larger buttons, text messages now display more material, and a full-sized keyboard that can be used for swipe typing has been added.
The Apple Watch Series 7’s display, according to Apple, is the most resilient one ever. The glass cover is more durable against cracks since it is thicker at its thickest point.
Performance
The Apple Watch Series 7 uses the same CPU as the Apple Watch Series 6 from the prior year. Despite having a new name—S7—it still has the same CPU power. This is not the first time Apple has taken such a step. With the Apple Watch Series 5, the S5 processor offered a built-in Compass function along with the same performance as the S4 SoC.
The S7 SiP contains 32GB of storage and a 64-bit dual-core CPU. It is 20% quicker than the Apple Watch SE’s CPU and is comparable to the S6 chip.
