Selecting the Settings App is the first step to create an Apple ID for your new Apple iPhone. You will notice Sign into your iPhone or iPad at the top of the Settings screen. You will then be prompted to sign in or it will say don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it.

Select Choose Create Apple ID if you don’t have one or if you’ve forgotten it. The following step requires you to enter your first and last names as well as your date of birth. Pressing next after this will prompt you to enter your email address.

Enter the email address you wish to use if you already have one; otherwise, choose possess no email address. Then, Apple will create an iCloud email account for you. You can decide whether or not to receive Apple News & Announcements in the section that is located below this.

You will then be asked to create a password for your new Apple ID account after pressing the next button. Make sure your password contains at least one number, one capital and one lowercase letter, and is at least 8 characters long.

After entering your password twice to confirm it, click the next button. Once you enter your phone number as requested by Apple, you will be prompted to confirm your number. Text messages or phone calls can be used for this. Select the approach you want to adopt, then click next.

After that, you will either get a text message or a call with a verification code. On your iPad or iPhone, enter the verification code, then select the next button.

When Apple displays it’s no worries terms and conditions to you, click Agree and then tap Agree once more to formally accept them. Your new Apple ID has been created, and you can now use your iPhone or iPad.

You must add some payment information to your account in order to utilize the app store and pay for any purchases you make.
