This article will explain how to delete an album on your iPhone or iPad if you have a lot of images on your phone and want to organise them and get rid of those albums you don’t need.
The iPhone’s photographs app comes with a variety of pre-configured albums, but you can also create your own albums on the device and give them whatever name you choose. The same method applies to both the iPhone and iPad when using this.
How do I delete an album on my iPhone?
Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad first, and then select the menu option from the bottom of the screen.
You need to choose Albums from the bottom menu, which is located at the bottom of the page, where you will see Library, For You, Albums, and Search.
When you choose Albums from the menu, all of the albums that you have created for organising your images on your iPhone or iPad will be displayed to you. For the sake of this illustration, I’ve created an album in the photographs named “Test Album,” which we will remove from our iPhone. To make sure you can remove easily, it could be worthwhile for you to test this first.
The next step is to choose Edit in the upper right corner of the iPhone’s display after pressing “See All” to view all of the albums that are currently on your device.
The albums that can be removed when this is complete will each have a minus sign in a red circle. You must click the red minus sign to be prompted to decide whether to remove the album from your device.
It will be deleted from your iPhone or iPad when you select “Delete Album.” The album you wanted to delete will now be gone when you click done in the upper right corner. You’ve successfully removed the album from your iPhone or iPad. Any more albums that you no longer require can be deleted in the same manner.
