Apple has redesigned the iOS Lock Screen with iOS 16, which is presently in beta. It is now more customizable than ever and features widgets for the first time.
When you tilt your iPhone, you may view more of the Lock Screen wallpaper thanks to a feature in iOS 16 called perspective zoom. Similar to previous iOS releases, the feature tries to enhance your iPhone experience with additional motion and interactivity. However, you can manually turn it off if you don’t see the attraction, find it distracting, or simply prefer a regular static background. The instructions below will demonstrate how to achieve it.
- Use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock your iPhone.
- To access the wallpaper gallery, hold down the Lock Screen button while pressing.
- If required, swipe to the depth-effect lock screen wallpaper and choose Customize.
- At the bottom-right of the screen, click the ellipsis icon (three encircled dots).
- To uncheck the box, tap Perspective Zoom.
- When you’re done making adjustments, tap Done in the top-right corner.
- To make a wallpaper active, tap Set as Wallpaper Pair then tap the wallpaper once again in the gallery.
